Veterans Day

I was Daddy’s girl. I’m sure my sister would tell you she was Daddy’s girl, too. Our father had the gift of making sure each child felt special.

If you have been reading excerpts of Sparkles from Silence, you know that our father was a fighter pilot in the United States Air Force. In Book Two, Dance in the Desert, Dad was deployed to Vietnam. Like many of his comrades, he was willing to lay down his life for his country. The rest of the family struggled on without him while he spent a year overseas.

Here is a photo of my father as a young pilot. Thank you to every veteran who has served our country!
